Wanting to merge two projects with multiple jobs within it. Manually having to detach job from one project and linking to another can be tedious. Especially since a project cannot be empty and will need a dummy job in order for it to no longer be linked to customer anymore. Would help make the workflow easier like the blue “move payment” button for payments within a project.
I'm working with Negley's Well Drilling that would like also like the ability to move multiple jobs within one project to another project. Currently, the tenant is unable to move jobs in bulk from one project to another and has created a very complicated workflow.
I also am working with a tenant who would like a way to merge two projects into one. They also created two projects by accident and think this would be super helpful!
I also have a tenant who would like a way to merge two projects and streamline the process of moving all jobs from one project to another. Additionally, they stated it was hard for them to keep track of each project as well.
Had another tenant today requesting to do this. Wanted to combine two projects as they didn't realize the first job was already in a project and created a new one. Then they had to add a random job to the 2nd project in order to detach the job they wanted to move over to 1st project.
I had a customer reach out recently with a situation where they created two separate projects for a customer a couple months apart (one for electrical work and one for HVAC work), but now they want to merge the two for streamlining purposes and for easier project/job costing viewing. They were also getting confused as to which project was which and wanted to make it easier by combining the projects into one.
Do you need any further info from me to get it out of the "needs more information" status? Thanks!
Sorry I swear I commented on this already! It's been a while since this case was in support, but usually they have two projects that the customer wants one overall invoice with all the jobs on a location in one place so they have to change each job from the other project, and attach it to the new project. And then attach a dummy job to the old project since it can't be empty and then removed from the location. Thanks!
Hi,
Can you explain what scenario causes you have two projects that you'd want to merge into one? Can you explain the underlying problem, as there may be a solution that addresses the root cause rather than cleaning up the symptoms.
Thank you!
